This phase of the coaching is dedicated to the definition of training focus and customization of coaching modality.
It is all based upon the personality of the Coachee and the context he/she operates in.
The Parties identify the major aspects to focus on during the coaching activities, the motivation of the Coachee and any areas of concern to devote attention and energies into.
- Knowledge of the principles of coaching (rules and confidentiality agreement): creation of the vital spirit of mutual trust and co-operation between Coach and Coachee.
- Goal setting according to the "SMART" criteria (Specific - Measurable - Achievable - Realistic - Time Related).
This phase of the coaching is devoted to the self-awareness.
It allows to capture the distinctive features of the personality, to enhance the quality of the activity, to manage the personal limits and to achieve the desired goal.
Furthermore, the collected information in this phase allows the Coach to customize the coaching activity by identifying and managing any unconscious resistance to change.
Different assessment tools are available to support the coaching activity by providing objective information as well as KPI to monitor the improvements during the development process.
The action plan is the moment during which the desire become reality.
A detailed list of activities will lead the Coachee in achieving the set goals step by step.
Thanks to the sharing with the Coach, the Coachee will benefit from a fresh and new perspectives, will use new approaches and will discover unexplored opportunities.
The Coach will also provide the Coachee with behavioural sciences, managerial knowledge and tools as to enhance new personal qualities and develop new skills.
The activity is constantly monitored following the results as they are produced.
The positive and constructive approach allows the Coachee to consolidate the winning strategies and to learn from mistakes in order to create new and more effective approaches and behaviors.
It is understood that all Parties involved (Client, Coachee and Coach) accept and agree to honour the mutual obligation of confidentiality:
COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY - The Coach agrees to treat the information obtained from the Coachee during the activity of coaching as strictly confidential and he will limit their use to the good delivery of the coaching, with the only exception for what expressly authorized by the Coachee.
PROHIBITION OF DISTRIBUTION AND MARKETING - The Client and the Coachee agree not to publish, sell, transfer to a third party, by any mean of communication, the information and the material received by the Coach during the coaching activity.
